If you are tearing up the roads in Forza Horizon 6, there is one legendary JDM masterpiece you absolutely need in your garage: the 1969 Toyota 2000GT. It is gorgeous, historic, and one of the coolest Barn Finds in the game. However, you can't just drive straight to the location and expect the barn doors to pop open. You have to trigger the rumor first. Here is exactly how to unlock the rumor, find the hidden barn, and get this classic ride out on the streets. Step 1: How to Unlock the Barn Find RumorBefore the game even gives you a hint, you need to put in some time behind the wheel. The 2000GT rumor is tied directly to your progression in the "Discover Japan" campaign within your Collector's Journal. Here is what you need to do: Level Up: When you start out, you are at the Visitor level. You need to earn enough progression points to level up to the Tourist level. Complete Activities: The quickest way to get there is by knocking out story missions, tearing through touge races, and clearing road events across the map. Get the Green Stamp: Once you hit the Tourist rank, you will be rewarded with the Green Stamp in your journal. This is the exact trigger that pushes the Toyota 2000GT rumor circle onto your world map.
Step 2: The Barn Location GuideOnce that purple rumor circle appears, open your map and look toward the northern coast of the Ito region. The barn is tucked away in a very specific, easy-to-miss spot near the water.
To find it without driving around in circles, follow these steps: Find the Landmark: Look for the traditional Minka House located right near the northeastern edge of the Ito region. Follow the Route: Take the main coastal road heading north along the east coast. Keep an eye out for a side path that exits off the main road and heads down toward the beach. Spot the Barn: Before your tires hit the sand on the beachfront, look for a dense, relatively small patch of trees sitting right up against the seawall. Slow down and make a sharp turn into those trees. The hidden barn is tucked right in the middle of them, hidden between the paths.
Step 3: Restoring Your New RideOnce you watch the cutscene and your character uncovers the dusty 2000GT, your crew will haul it back to the garage. At this point, you have two options to get it road-ready: The Patient Route (Free): Just keep playing the game. Go run a few more races, explore the map, and your crew will slowly restore the car over time for absolutely free. You will get a notification when it's ready. The Fast Route (Paid): If you can't wait to customize it or take it out for a photoshoot, you can drop some hard-earned credits to bypass the wait time and unlock it instantly.
