Line in the Sand catches a lot of people out because the quest text points you toward Marano Station, and that's where many runs get wasted. You can circle that place for ages and still get nowhere. The real trigger is farther south, along the old rail track. If you're already stocking up on ARC Raiders Items and planning a Buried City run, this is the bit to remember: keep moving until you spot a wrecked train sinking into the sand between the Maintenance Depot and Piazza Roma. You don't need to mash buttons or hunt for a hidden switch. In most cases, simply walking up to the derailed cars is enough to push the mission forward, which feels odd, but that's how it works right now.

After the train updates the objective, head northeast. You're looking for a small tower that's half buried and easy to miss if you're sprinting. It sits close to the edge of Piazza Roma. This is where the quest gets awkward, because the game doesn't really tell you an item matters here. Go inside and pick up the Marano Market Business Card. Don't skip it. If that card isn't in your inventory, the next step won't register no matter how far you travel. A lot of players think the mission is bugged at this point, but usually they just ran past the tower without checking inside.

Once you've got the card, make your way east of the Hospital to the Market Ruins. There's no puzzle here and no special interaction to worry about. You just need to reach the area and let the quest catch up. The route can still be rough, though. Those narrow paths are perfect for machine ambushes, and if you're low on ammo it can get messy fast. Best way to handle it is simple: stay off the obvious lines, listen for movement, and don't pick fights you don't need. You'll notice this quest is actually pretty light on combat if you keep your head down and avoid the bigger patrol groups.

The last stop is northeast again, beyond Dune's End, at a lonely apartment block. Look for the basement entry with a zipline going down. Drop into the lower level and check the main room for a stack of boxes. That's the photo target. Use the in-game prompt, take the picture, and you're done with the fieldwork. After extraction, speak with Celeste back at base to collect the rewards: two Exodus Modules, two Magnetic Accelerators, and two Magnetrons. It's a solid payout for a mission that feels more confusing than dangerous, especially once you know the path and don't waste time searching the wrong landmarks.

Recent updates have made this whole route less annoying than it was a few weeks ago. Turbines are easier to read now, both visually and by sound, so they're not sneaking up on you quite as often. Trigger Nades were fixed, and the carryable issue with Ticks is in a better place too. Those changes don't overhaul the quest, but they do make Buried City runs feel less cheap. If you're trying to get in, finish the job, and get out with your loot intact, it also helps to keep useful gear in order through places like RSVSR, especially when you want a smoother setup before heading back into another messy extraction run.
